Jorunn has trained in ballet, modern,

jazz, ballroom and bellydance,

until she discovered

American Tribal Style Bellydance in

2002.

Along with intensive training with Jenny Lovise Staurset and performing with Tribal Troopers, Jorunn has studied with Carolena Nericcio from FatChanceBellyDance and Megha Gavin from Devyani Dance Company almost yearly since 2006 including completing the General Skills Certificate with Carolena in 2009.

Jorunn is the first person in Norway to be accepted into Carolena Nericcio’s intensive Teacher Training Course. In 2009 Jorunn received her teaching accreditation in the highly regarded FatChanceBellyDance (FCBD) format. Jorunn Sjølli is now a FatChanceBellyDance Sister Studio.

Jorunn is a member of Tribal Troopers which is an Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS) troupe. Jenny Lovise Staurset is the artistic director. Tribal Troopers regularly performs at various community events and festivals, as well as private and corporate functions.

Tribal Troopers arranges Tribal Camp Oslo in September every year and the show Battle of the Tribes at the same time. They also arrange the benefit show Hawk-In-The-Nest.
